I had a previous post that has a topic of making you’re own mouse cursor. I also said on that post that I’m very excited to make one with my own design. Well, I did and they are for left handers. Of course, I can turn it to right handers but I guess right handed cursors are common so i’m going to stick to doing left handed cursors and I’m actually using my left hand now to use the mouse so no right handers yet ehehhe lol
I actually got used to it. I’ve been doing it for about 3 months now and i’m pretty used to it and I don’t need to switch anymore if I do hard works or important works
Anyways, I did this post because I wanted to share my cursors to you
They are not that good but at least they are stylish specially the animation that I made on the “busy” cursor
Here are the previews:

This is a .zip file. It’s prettier when it’s a cursor. This is a very low quality pictures so don’t say they’re ugly yet lol
The first one is the normal cursor, the one that you always use. The second one is a “loading background” cursor. And the last one is the “busy” cursor. There is a forth one but it’s just a cursor when you ask something(nothing much really).
They are not that hard to make but you should have a lot of patience when you want to make an animated cursor. But it was pretty fun doing it. Maybe I’ll do more in the future….
If you have any question, comment this post. If you also want to see my previous post that I was talking about earlier that contains the software I used to make cursors, go here.
Questions:
How to put these cursors in VISTA?
When you get the file(.zip).
- Extract it on any folder or go to you’re: C: drive >WINDOWS folder >CURSORS folder and make a new folder. Extract it to that new folder you just made.
- Now open Control Panel.
- Under “Hardware and Sound”, click on “Mouse”. There should be a new window that would open.
- Go to the “Pointers” tab.
- Click on “Normal Select” and click Browse. Another window would open
- Now go to the folder where you extracted the .zip file.
- Double click on the normal one
- And there you have it.
- Keep on doing this for the last 3 cursors.
- It should look like this:

- Click “Apply” and you’re done
If VISTA didn’t allow you to put it in the CURSORS folder, maybe because you’re not the Administrator or maybe you just need to change its settings so you could put it there. If you can’t be bothered doing that, just extract it anywhere you like.
Enjoy
I hope you like those….
