Left Hand Writing VS Right Hand Writing

As you may have known, I have been doing a lot of practice to improve my non-dominant hand (Which you have to guess which on… NO CHEATING)

Now, I don’t have much confidence in this “Guessing” game but at least, I do have a tiny little bit :) Heeheehee… anyways, I’m going to show you photos of my handwriting in 3 different ways. The first one would be written in English, then the second one would be in Tagalog and lastly, in Baybayin.

The twist is, you have to guess which one is my “Non-DOminant Hand” Just by looking at this photos AND not from my old posts or stuff like that. It is considered CHEATING if you do that LOL :)

Now for the point (.)

1. Writing in English, this is my:

Left Hand:Left Hand Writing

Right Hand:

Right Hand Writing

2.) Writing in Tagalog:

Left Hand:

Kaliwang Sulat

Right Hand:

Kanang Sulat3. Writing in Baybayin:

Left Hand:

ᜃᜎᜒᜏᜅ᜔ ᜐᜓᜎᜆ᜔Right Hand:

ᜃᜈᜅ᜔ ᜐᜓᜎᜆ᜔

So that’s it, that’s the only clue you get! Nothing more, nothing less :) I hope this helps heeheehee :) Comment if you wanna have a guess :)

This will test your observation on my handwriting. Don’t be fooled if it’s a little slanted, or a little messy :) Heehee

Hope you find my Non-Dominant hand! Good luck!!!

  2. Nice, not bad at all! I think you are right-handed. If this is true, you have probably spent a lot of time learning to write with your left hand decently.

I am either left-handed or ambidextrous. I can say I have preference for left over right, but I can also do some things with my right hand just as well. As a child, I naturally began writing with my left hand, but my 1st grade teacher wanted me to switch. My handwriting was rather ugly at the beginning and it took me years to improve it, but in the end I was able to write prettier than most men. After writing with the right hand for 18 years, I decided to go back to my roots. It took me only a few days (approx. 10 days with 30 – 40 minutes of exercising per day). Maybe it could have taken even less time if I had paid more attention to the bad and stiff way I was holding the pen at the beginning, which was preventing me from applying fine control over the pen. Anyway, now I can write with both hands equally, but tend to enjoy it more with the left hand, hehe. :)

    • YEAH you’re right heheh I’m right handed.
But I’m the same as you. I was born left handed and I started writing with my left hand. But then my grandma said that this was bad in my religion so she forced me to write with my right hand. And so after writing with my right hand for 15 years, also went back to writing with my left hand.
Yes it was hard at first and i’m still kind of learning, but I find it more fun with my left hand as well :)
Thanks for sharing your story! I now know that I’m not the only one who has been forced to be right handed :) Thanks for the comment as well!
btw, when I did this post, I’ve been writing with my left hand for over a year. My improvement is slow but I’m getting used to it :)

  3. That’s awesome, you are like a sister of mine then, hehe! Frankly, I was thinking to add to my previous post that I think you might be either left-handed or ambidextrous who has been forced to use her right hand for writing, because your left hand writing is rather pretty and I don’t think a real righty can achive so good writing with their left hand, at least not before taking much more practice time than you’ve had. And we can roughly say that your left handwriting is identical to what you can do with your right hand – same as mine. :) If it weren’t for the curved Baybayin line, it would be even harder to guess which is your dominant hand. I thought about this since it explains why we are doing so well. Righties find it rather difficult to learn writing with their left hands and I read a story that it has taken one person 7 years to do that.

But aren’t you left-handed then? Because handedness depends not only on what hand we use for writing, but what hand we generally prefer for everyday activities. For example, I eat and drink with the left hand, I shave and brush my teeth with the left hand, I prefer to use screwdrivers with the left hand… I initially learned to play table tennis with the right hand, but then found out I can do that with the left hand, too. I play snooker with the left hand, I use vacuum cleaner with the left hand, etc.

    BTW, where are you from?

    • Thanks! Hi SiS!!! that means that i’m improving :) Good news for me Lol.
ReallY! 7 years for writing with their right hand! My gosh that’s a long time.
Yes, I do things with left hand as well it’s bad though (apparently) in my religion to put your spoon on your left hand and your folk on your right so I didn’t really eat with my left hand. But since we changed religion just recently, I started eating with my left hand and it maybe only took me 1 or 2 weeks. I wash the dishes, use the broom to clean house, use mouse, picking up stuff, pull the breaks on bike, and a lot more using my left hand. It just feels more natural if I do that. And I don’t play sports so I haven’t really tried using my left hand. LOL

I’m from the Philippines. But we moved to Australia. So I’m in Australia now :)
      How about you?

  4. It sounds like you’re left-handed, but had to use your right hand a lot, so you’ve get used to it. :) Or maybe ambidextrous? I always eat with the left hand. I used the mouse with the right hand for like 10 years following the convention, but then I moved it to the left and it feels better. Before, sometimes my right hand felt uncomfortable using the mouse for a long time, but I didn’t really pay attention to that.

I am from Bulgaria. And I am a boy, not a girl. :D

    • Oops sorry bout that, I didn’t know LOL :) Hi Bro then :)
Did you know that you were left handed to start with or did someone tell you???
Because if my other grandma didn’t tell me that I was forced to be right handed, I wouldn’t be able to know.

  5. I have childhood memories that tell me this, but my mother also said that I have begun writing with the left hand. I’ve had moments when I just see that for some important and precise activities I don’t use the hand that most other people use. I remember that I also played my toys with the left hand. In elementary school (1 to 4 grades) I think I tended to use the left hand for painting with watercolors. I have also observed that my father prefers the left hand for instruments, scissors, knife, although he uses his right hand for writing and playing tennis. And we have talked about this sometimes. I have a few vague childhood memories that I wanted to use scissors with the left hand, but since they were build for right-handed people, it was hard, so I began using them with the right hand, just as many other lefties did. But later I learned to use them with the left hand, too, for cutting my nails. :) My instinct also pointed me to the left hand when I began using knife for the first time, but my parents told me it’s better to put the knife in the right hand, so I switched. :) But then I found out that I can use the knife with the left hand just as well, especially when I have to cut thin stuff, so now I think it depends on which hand the knife is closer to, LOL. :)

    • Awesome, I didn’t have memories, but I noticed (and my parents also) that I used left hand more when it didn’t come to writing and stuff…

and as an artist, it’s important for me to be able to draw what I’m imagining. When I draw with my right hand, I couldn’t draw what I was imagining. But when I started drawing with my left hand, I’m now able to draw what I was imagining :)

Thanks for sharing! Glad that I wasn’t the only one

  6. WOOOW! What a coincidence! I just cannot believe it! OK, here we go…

First, my academic education was in engineering, but I’m also an artist – I compose music and write stories and poetry sometimes. But I am also interested in drawing and can draw some things decently. However, I rarely draw and consider myself an amateur, so I should pay more attention to developing my drawing skills and techniques. I am interested in drawing from imagination. Just as you, I can say that it seems I can imagine things better if I use my left hand for drawing. For example, if I should draw something in perspective, it turns out more realistic if I do it with the left hand. With the right hand I can do it, too, but it’s likely to make more mistakes. I found this recently and I thought to suggest you to try drawing with the left hand. :)

    • Awesome!!! Same as me!
Although I couldn’t compose songs but I do write stories!!! I just want to express my imaginative side more :)
They say that Left handers are more creative because we use the right side of the brain which controls the creative and artistic characteristics of a person. Maybe that’s why we are more on the creative side than the logical side.

Do you have your own website or blog???

  7. I don’t have my own website or blog. I tried to started my own blog a few times, but I am too lazy to write there, lol. By the way, I can also do mirror writing. I can do it better with my left hand. Can you do that, too? :) Hm, I can scan a sample of my writing and show you.

I have a Skype account. If you have one, we could chat sometimes. It is interesting that we have lots in common and I found your blog by accident.

    • I can’t do that now LOL but I remember when I was in prep and kinder when we used to write a,b,c’s and stuff, I always get it wrong because I write in the mirrored way and so sometimes I fail because of that. I just remembered it.
Yeah you can show me your writing :)

and I don’t have skype, i’m sorry! Yeah we have a lot in common :)
