How to make inner shadow using The Gimp 2.6(with guide pictures)

I remind you that i’m not professional and i’m just sharing what I have learned. If you don’t want to use this method, it’s up to you :D

1. Let’s start. First open you’re picture that you wanted to have inner shadow in The Gimp.

2. Select the image like so:

3. Grow for 1px

4. Create a new layer in transparency.

5. Select the new layer and fill it with black using Bucket Fill Tool.

6. Move the “new layer” at the bottom of “background” like this:

7. Shrink the selection to 8px or depending on how big you want your inner shadow to be.

8. Invert your selection.

9. Select > Feather

10. Write 20.000

11. Select the erase tool.

12. Erase the edges like so:

13. Select > None.
